Rama VIII Bridge Project To ease the problem of traffic flow from Thonburi to Bangkok on Somdej Phra Pinklao Bridge, BMA planned to increase the road surface area of the bridge. His Majesty however proposed another alternative and suggested the construction of a new bridge across Chao Phraya River. He also presented a sketch illustrating a possible route that the bridge may take for BMA to carry out a feasibility study.
